So this year, they have started cutting down the forest preserve where I take a lot of my pictures!
The reason the have is that they need to remove many trees to improve the environment :O (Eek)

Yes that is what they said! It is reasonable to remove invasive trees and sick trees, but why are they removing the healthy native trees? The reason they have implies that the NATIVE TRESS are BAD for the environment :O (Eek)

Whoever made this up is a moron and should not be in-charge of the forest preserve :X (Mad)

They have also calmed that they need to cut down the forest so that the prairie and the oak savanna don't become forests! Huh! If its naturalizing into a forest, they should let it! Besides I think that the prairie looks like an ugly overgrown yard! And the savanna is nothing special or Natural, yes it was not there before the area was settled, they cut down the forest and made the savanna! Also someone who works there said that they need to remove part of the forest so that there is more butterfly habitat, but they are destroying hawk habitat, I thought that was illegal as hawks are endangered! So they claim the environment is better quality now, but six acres of the forest is gone for no good reason and the place looks afoul :( (Sad)

The forest is called Gibson woods nature preserve, it is in Hammond, Lake county, Indiana. So if anyone who reads this is near, do not support what they are doing, and if anyone who reads this works for the national parks foundation, please see if you can do anything to stop it!
And maybe a bunch of people could send them complaint letters too.
