This butterfly landed at my feet today when I left the house. He stayed still just long enough for me to snap about 8 pictures of him and then he flew off.

Thank you. He landed on my sidewalk outside my house, as it seems a lot of insects tend to do, and I decided that it was the best shot I was going to get. The interesting part, is that this was not taken in macro. I just zoomed in from 3 feet away to the max zoom before it hit digital zoom and this was the outcome.

I also have a B&W version of this with only the butterfly in color.

Wish insects also came by more often here, usually I must travel a little to even find a butterfly :/

This is really a nice shot, mainly because the colours of the butterfly itself are so strong in contrast to the rest, gives this work a good punch.
Maybe you should upload the B&W aswell, it does sound very promising.

I've always wanted to take a picture of a butterfly that had some real beautiful colors on it and this one happened to land at my feet on the way to a shoot. I'm glad you like it.

I also have a picture of a dragonfly in my gallery that you may be interested in.
